A CrossFit Community that Cares

Please join FallOut CrossFit this holiday season in making a difference for families in need of assistance. In cooperation with a local elementary school, we are sponsoring children from their “Giving Tree” program. We are confident the generous hearts that we have at FallOut CrossFit will help these children smile on Christmas morning. These are the children that rely on breakfast and lunch at school as their only meals – their families can’t provide anything else for them. These are also the same children whose backpacks get stuffed every Friday afternoon with non-perishables collected by the school to help keep their bellies filled before school roles around on Monday. These are the same children who wear the same clothes all week long – because it’s their only outfit, yet it’s dirty and worn out because no one has washed it. Often late for school are these kids because no one cares enough to wake them up or they’ve discovered no one is around because their parent has been picked up by the police. Friends, all of this is true, and it’s just the tip of the ice berg of daily challenges for these young kids. Every day is a battle for many of them, their reality is shocking.

These kids are shaped and molded from life’s experiences. At this young age, many of these children have not had positive events happen. Please, help us brighten a child’s life this holiday. Any donation makes a difference – even a dollar adds up when we work together.

The “Giving Tree” program provides each child an outfit (shirt and pants) and a toy. FOCF has selected to provide the outfit portion for five families. If you find it in your heart to donate, we greatly appreciate it. If time is something you’d like to donate, perhaps you are willing to be the shopper for the outfits (we have shirt and pant sizes for each child) or the wrapper (we will attach the “Giving Tree” tags to the wrapped presents prior to returning them to the school).

We must accomplish this task – that means donations, shopping, and wrapping by the middle of next week (December 18th) in order for families to receive the gifts as children leave for Christmas break.

We are confident we can do it – we wouldn’t have stepped up to the plate had we not believed in each of you. If you would like more information about the program, please see Coach Tammy. Donations will be collected at the gym through this next Monday, December 16th, with the shopping and wrapping to be completed by Wednesday, December 18th.

We thank you for considering this opportunity.
