When did you first start training at FOCF?: February of 2013
Favorite WOD: Anything with lifting
Least Favorite WOD: Whenever we’re sent out to the street to run!
Tell us about you sports & fitness background: I’ve played soccer my whole life and had always been one of the bigger kids on the field so I started playing football in middle school. I’ve played pretty much every sport but soccer continues to be my favorite.
How did you first get exposed to CrossFit? My dad introduced me to it through Tim. Once I got started I was addicted!
Take us back to your first WOD… what was it, and how did it feel? My first WOD had tons of pull ups in it. The next day I could barely move my arms and I didn’t think I’d be able to do another workout. I’ve been sore ever since but I love it!
What sort of changes have you seen in your body, health and fitness since starting CF (before/after)? I started back up with crossfit after I had surgery on my foot and had gained some weight. CrossFit got me back into shape and I continue to see improvements in every lift, box jump, and pull up I do.
What sort of changes in your life have you experienced out of taking on something like CrossFit that were totally unexpected? I’ve met a bunch of great people through crossFit and it gives me something to look forward to every day.
Please share with us any favorite CrossFit / FOCF moments: One of my favorite moments was doing Murph. It was one of the toughest things I’ve done and going into it I had no idea how I’d finish but somehow I got it done.
Any advice for people just getting started? Just throw yourself into the crossFit lifestyle and you’ll be hooked!
What are your hobbies, interests and/or talents outside of CrossFit? I love being around friends and family, going camping, boating, snowboarding, pretty much doing anything outdoors.
