Mobility Mobility Mobility

How’s your thoracic spine feeling today? How do your shoulders feel? Well there is a connection. Read about it in the Dynamic Chiropractic, “The Importance of the Thoracic Spine in Shoulder Mechanics”. Without proper range of motion through your thoracic spine (the part thats all screwed up because hunch over a computer all day), you’ll find that shoulder impingement also becomes a problem and this  will contribute to lack of range of motion along with some associated pain. People may say, “I have a weak rotator cuff”. Maybe, but it’s more likely that all your muscles are short and you’ve lost range of motion from bad posture and lack of exercise. What are some of the movements that require good shoulder health? And what can you do to gain mobility in your thoracic? Think of specific movements we’ve done on Mobility Mondays. You should remember these ones as they are not very friendly!
