Nothing But Potatoes for 2 months

This guys has gone Spud nuts. For 2 months the executive director of the Washington State Potato Commission, Chris Voigt, in an effort to proof that the potato is healthy is going to consume nothing but potatoes, no mixings or dressings, just potatoes! In an article by FOX news he is quoted as saying, “I want to show the world that the potato is so healthy that you could live off them alone for an extended period of time without any negative impact to your health,” on his website. The basic potato most people think of is of the Russet kind, same type that’s used to make McDonalds french fries. Glycemic index is 76, put that in relation to white bread at 100. I can only imagine what his triglyceride levels will be in 2 months??? Not to mention that potatoes also contain  toxic compounds known as glycoalkaloids. Glycoalkaloids may cause headaches, diarrhea, cramps, and in severe cases coma and death. Cooking at high temps can partially destroy these compounds. Now normally this wouldn’t be a problem, but then again no one ever eats potatoes for 2 months straight by themselves. The guy from the 30 days show once ate McDonalds for 30 days, in Supersize Me, and we all know the results of that. What are your thoughts on this? What do think his results will be? Healthier or Sicker?
