Anything is Possible!

Many people come into CrossFit with apprehension. This goes for the new people that haven’t been off the coach in years and the athlete looking to get better. CrossFit workouts should scare you! This is how they are made, this is what makes you better. Starting CrossFit there was most likely something that you couldn’t do before and now you are doing them regularly in workouts. This is because CrossFit makes you better, and if you are new to this type of working out stick with it and you too will be doing stuff you never thought possible. Greg Glassman once said, “Your workout should scare you, if it doesn’t it’s not hard enough. If your workout scares you away, you’re not hard enough!” But remember everything is done to the persons capabilities, so know your capabilities and push your own personal limits. This weekend I will be pushing my personal limits. I will be doing the CDA Ironman this Sunday @ 7am and hoping to cross the finish line sometime before mid-night! This is all with only training CrossFit and never running more then 6 miles at anytime, most were in 800m intervals. I have been in the water twice all year and only have accumulated 75 miles on the road with my bike. This is going to be the ultimate test, and I know I will pass because I have been prepared with CrossFit, (knock on wood!). Don’t look at your workout and think you can’t do it, look at it and know you will finish it one way or the other. It may scare you but it will make you better!

I wont be back from CDA until Monday evening so…
