Tabata what?

Tabata interval training is the single most effective type of high intensity interval training, its also the most intense by far, and surprisingly its the shortest in duration, it only last for four minutes… but those four minutes produce remarkable effects.

Tabata training was discovered by Dr. Izumi Tabata and a team of researchers from the National Institute of Fitness and Sports in Tokyo.

Dr. Tabata found that this specific type of interval training led to substantially more fat burning than aerobic training. On top of that he foungd that four minutes of Tabata training built as much muscular endurance as forty five minutes of normal cardio training. The truth is that the subjects in the study actually increased their anaerobic capacity by over a quarter & saw a substantial increase in their aerobic fitness. Tabata training is a better option for weight loss but will give you all the benefits of aerobic training without loosing your anaerobic abilities.
