When did you first start training at FOCF?:   July of 2011

Favorite WOD:  I really like Fran

Least Favorite WOD: Anything that has to do with running!

Tell us about you sports & fitness background: I played high school football and lifted weights on and off at the local gym that was about it

How did you first get exposed to CrossFit?  Deanne talked me into giving it a try and I liked it.

Take us back to your first WOD… what was it, and how did it feel? My first WOD was on a Saturday the whole class was getting ready for this thing they called Fight Gone Bad I had never heard of it. So I’m half way done flat on my back contemplating all the wrongs I’ve done in my life when this crazy woman think her name was Jo? started yelling at me about how I could do it and I was almost done I was really wondering what I got myself into. I had never been so tired and sore in my entire life but I really like how everyone helps you an pushes you along I would have never finished that work out on my own.

What sort of changes have you seen in your body, health and fitness since starting CF (before/after)? I’ve lost weight and my endurance is so much better when I started CrossFit I couldn’t even run to the end of the drive way at the old gym without stopping.

What sort of changes in your life have you experienced out of taking on something like CrossFit that were totally unexpected?  I never realized how hard you could push yourself to accomplish something I never in million years would have thought I could do the work outs I’m doing now.

Please share with us any favorite CrossFit / FOCF moments: Paddling on the Columbia was a blast – talk about thinking outside of the box for a WOD.

Any advice for people just getting started?  RUN!!! No just kidding stick with it when you first start it seems like there is no way you’re ever going to finish but just do one wall ball, one squat, one pull up  etc. at a time next thing you know times up and your done.

What are your hobbies, interests and/or talents outside of CrossFit?  Love my nerdy computer games and riding my horse.
